A Coordinated Voice for Alameda County

The Nonprofit Alliance is the collective voice of the nonprofits that house and serve Alameda County. We unite providers across the homeless services continuum to advocate for adequate funding, fair contracting practices, and policy that puts the people we serve first.

Our Mission

The Nonprofit Alliance provides leadership that elevates the voice, power, and collective expertise of community-based nonprofits to county funding agencies and city and county elected leaders, contributing to improved outcomes for people struggling to secure and maintain high-quality affordable housing.

Alliance members share solutions, provide consultation and resources through partnerships and work groups, and proactively support our government leaders in strengthening the system of care.

We strive to ensure:

  • The system of care provides quality equity-centered services to unsheltered, sheltered, precariously housed, and newly housed individuals and families.
  • The system of care, and all its programs, are adequately funded to support quality services, shelter, and housing.
  • The system of care adheres to contracting practices that promote healthy nonprofits and a healthy workforce.

Stronger With You

Together we carry more weight with funders, the county, and the state than any of us can alone. Membership is open to any nonprofit providing homelessness, housing, or related services in Alameda County.
